At Over the Limit, a volatile battle between a supreme squared circle technician and a dominant giant threatens to rock SmackDown to its very foundation, as World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger defends his title against Big Show.

Just 24 hours after Swagger`s defeat of Randy Orton at Extreme Rules, the 2010 WWE Draft changed the landscape of Friday nights forever. Edge and Chris Jericho, top contenders for the World Title, were suddenly drafted to Raw, leaving a huge hole in the top contenders list to challenge Jack Swagger. But, the size of that void was quickly filled by a larger-than-life Superstar.

On the first SmackDown following Extreme Rules, General Manager Theodore Long wasted no time naming newly-drafted Big Show as the No. 1 contender to the All-American American. Later, The World`s Largest Athlete put an exclamation mark on the announcement by knocking Swagger out in the middle of the ring. Despite his decisive statement, can the enormous Superstar topple the talented new champion from the throne?

Although Jack Swagger has traveled a rocky road since cashing in the Money in the Bank Briefcase to win his first World Championship suffering non-title loses to The Undertaker, John Morrison and Randy Orton he has proven that he can win when it counts. Like him or hate him, the two-time collegiate All-American`s entire life has served as a moniker for championship victory. And despite his braggadocios demeanor, Swagger has established that he has what it takes to keep the title around his waist.

Big Show returns to SmackDown hotter than ever. Among the many dangerous weapons in his arsenal, the gigantic former World Champion carries with him a devastating knockout punch one that took out not only Swagger on his return to Friday night, but also Chris Jericho and Edge. WWE Champion John Cena will face Batista in an Quit Match for the WWE Title at Over the Limit, which will be the last time these two Superstars meet in the squared circle for the championship.

The storied rivalry between Cena and Batista has only intensified in recent months after their harrowing collision at WrestleMania XXVI, when The Champ capitalized with an STF and made The Animal tap out, capturing his seventh WWE Title.

Labeling Cena`s victory on The Grandest Stage of Them All a fluke, Batista challenged The Champ for the title once again at Extreme Rules in a Last Man Standing Match, one of the most brutal and physically taxing matches WWE has to offer. Ultimately, it was Cena`s ingenuity that would slay the 6-foot-6 behemoth when he taped Batista`s ankles around a ring post, preventing the incensed Animal from rising to his feet. Ten counts later, Cena emerged triumphant yet again, proving to Batista and the entire WWE Universe that it takes more than just brute force to secure championships.

Humiliated, Batista appeared on the May 3 edition of Raw to issue a Beat the Clock Challenge to determine the stipulation for their Over the Limit championship encounter, which Cena won later that night. The following week on Raw, Cena announced the WWE title bout would be an I Quit Match, an anything goes contest that both of these battle-hardened competitors are more than familiar with for better or worse.

As its name suggests, the only way to win an I Quit Match is to make your opponent utter the words I quit by any means necessary. Both Cena and Batista will need to push themselves to the limit and over it for the WWE Championship at WWE Over the Limit Sunday, May 23, only on pay-per-view.

A retribution-seeking Christian was ready to face David Hart Smith on ECW after his tag teammate, Jack Swagger, turned on him last week causing a loss to The Hart Dynasty. But Captain Charisma was once again defeated by his pink and black-clad foes, this time after Natalya distracted the referee while Tyson Kidd attacked Christian from the ring apron, allowing Hart Smith to get the pin.

After the match, The Dynasty continued their attack on Christian, but they quickly fled the ring when a shillelagh-wielding Finlay charged in. As The Dynasty stared down Finlay, The Fighting Irishman lived up to his moniker and shockingly smashed his shillelagh across Christian’s head, leaving him face down in the ring. Moments later, Finlay – who was out of action for several weeks after sustaining an eye injury while breaking up a fight between Christian and ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer – explained to Gregory Helms: “Where I come from there’s a little saying – an eye for an eye, and that’s what it’ll be.”

“The All-American American” earned a future chance at Tommy Dreamer’s ECW Title on Tuesday night with a defeat over the ECW Original. However, Swagger’s celebration was cut short when Finlay appeared again, this time attacking Dreamer with his shillelagh. Looking to quickly settle his score with Finlay, Christian also ran in to attack the Fighting Irishman. A melee ensued when Swagger became involved, tossing Christian out of the ring. Finally, Finlay smashed his shillelagh over Swagger’s head, standing tall above him, Christian and ECW Champion Dreamer. How will Finlay’s return to the Land of the Extreme affect his fellow ECW Superstars?

The rivalry between Evan “Air” Bourne and The World’s Strongest Man intensified on this week’s ECW. After Bourne defeated Henry’s associate, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, last week, Henry decided he’d try to once again take matters into his own giant hands and finally beat the rising Superstar. At almost a half foot taller and 200 pounds heavier, Henry clearly had the advantage over the high-flyer, and while it took weeks to finally stop Bourne’s momentum, Henry decimated his competition with a World’s Strongest Slam. After the match, Henry continued his assault, carrying Bourne’s limp body around the ring, then delivering another devastating World’s Strongest Slam on the already battered Bourne. Is this the end of the rivalry between Bourne and Henry?

Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

f there’s one thing the underhanded duo of Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase desire, it’s gold. And just like their Legacy leader, Randy Orton, they are willing to do anything to get it. Now, the Priceless duo has set their sights on Carlito & Primo’s Unified Tag Team Championships, and will get their opportunity at the titles at The Bash.

The Legacy members earned their title opportunity on Raw when they defeated The Colons in a non-title contest, earning a match for The Bash with the tandem gold at stake. The following Monday, Rhodes & DiBiase attacked Carlito & Primo during their confrontation with The Hart Dynasty, sending a clear message that they weren’t interested in waiting until the pay-per view to get physical. What DiBiase & Rhodes may not have realized, though, is that The Colon Brothers are not afraid of a good fight.

Carlito and his younger brother Primo won the Unified Tag Team Championships at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, making WWE history in the process. Since then, the duo from Puerto Rico have been fighting champions, draping themselves with their four titles and defending them on all three brands.

Still, Rhodes & DiBiase are no strangers to championships. The Priceless duo held the World Tag Team Titles on two separate occasions, and their victory over The Colons on Raw proved that they have what it takes to defeat the champs. On top of that, their vicious assaults on the likes of Batista and Triple H have proven they are willing to go to any lengths to get what they want – and at The Bash, they want the Unified Tag Team Championships.

There are few things in this world more precious to Randy Orton than the WWE Championship. Unfortunately for the reigning champion, he’s hardly the only one who harbors such affinity for WWE’s most prized possession.

Triple H, his opponent at The Bash, has also been known to pine for the cherished gold – and to stop at nothing to obtain it.

The question of who will enter the match as champion, however, remains to be answered. Raw’s new owner, Donald Trump, couldn’t wait to see these two clash. Therefore, the billionaire businessman arranged a Last Man Standing Title Match between Orton and Triple H during the upcoming Monday Night Raw.

The WWE Champion and his opponent share a long and tumultuous history than spans nearly a decade. Most recently, their animosity reached tragic proportions when Orton and his Legacy henchmen Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase began systematically targeting the McMahon family, including Triple H’s wife, Stephanie.

After decimating the most storied family in the history of the squared-circle, the WWE Champion snuffed out their last shining light when he punted the skull of The Game at Backlash. In the wake of the devastating kick, Triple H wasn’t seen or heard from for weeks. That is, until the WWE Universe witnessed the return of The King of Kings to Monday Night Raw.

Prior to Triple H’s return, however, Orton and The Legacy attacked the then-WWE Champion Batista before a scheduled title match, sending The Animal from the arena on a stretcher. As The Viper waited to be ordained the WWE Champion, The Game crashed the coronation. Exacting a long-awaited vengeance, an enraged Triple H plowed through Rhodes & DiBiase en route to the man who attacked his family and put him on the shelf – obliterating his nemesis with a Pedigree onto a steel chair.

With Batista injured and the WWE Title up for grabs, a Fatal Four Way Match commenced the following week to determine who would reign. Animosity hung thick in the air as Orton, Triple H, John Cena and Big Show all collided for the honor. It was The Viper, however, who would emerge victorious among the wreckage.

And now, Orton must defend his title against the man who has vowed to extract every bit of flesh he feels he’s owed. Can Orton possibly evade the wrath that awaits him to retain the title? Or will Triple H be able to overcome The Viper and his network of annihilation, The Legacy?

WWE Champion Jeff Hardy has been riding a wave of success since claiming the gold at Armageddon, and at Royal Rumble, Hardy faces a dangerous foe in former champion Edge – who is focused on taking back what he believes belongs to him.

Twenty-five years ago, the dream of modern-day WWE Chairman Mr.Macmahon was made manifest with the birth of the squared circle’s most celebrated spectacle, Wrestlemania. One quarter of a century later, 30 Superstars will have the ultimate opportunity to realize their dream of performing in the World Championship main event match on the Grandest Stage of Them All at the momentous 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
But first, one man will need to surpass the efforts of 29 opposing competitors with the same aspiration in the 2009 Royal Rumble Match. A test of endurance, athleticism and survival at all costs, the Rumble Match is the definitive Battle Royal, where each Superstar’s prime objective is to propel their opponents over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor. Every 90 seconds, one of 30 elite ring warriors with randomly drawn Rumble entry numbers joins the fray. Though luck of the draw can be a critical factor in such a high-stakes situation (ideally, entering at No. 30 like 2007 winner Undertaker and 2008 victor John Cena), past Rumble winners have included Superstars who kicked off the Battle Royal at No. 1 (as seen in 1995 with Shawn Michaels). Still, with bodies being tossed out every moment and fresh competitors coming in at such a rapid pace, it’s really anyone’s match.
In the end, the last Raw, SmackDown or ECW Superstar standing can officially punch a gold-embossed ticket to Houston’s Reliant Stadium where they will contend for a World Title of their choosing at WrestleMania 25.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Undertaker fell at the massive hands of Big Show at No Mercy, as The World’s Largest Athlete knocked out The Deadman with a little help from an exposed turnbuckle. Although his means were questionable, the end of the bout was definitely irrefutable – Big Show scored a resounding victory.

The match proved to be an extremely heated battle from the opening bell, with the future of SmackDown hanging in the balance. Neither Superstar gave the other room to breathe in the intense, non-stop action of pure brutality. In the end, after slamming Undertaker’s head into an exposed turnbuckle, Big Show delivered three devastating punches to The Phenom’s head for the KO victory.

The Phenom returned after being banished from WWE, fueled by a thirst for vengeance on every soul that played a part in his involuntary departure. He sent Edge to Hell at SummerSlam , brutalized Chavo Guerreroand “The Family” on SmackDown, and even Tombstoned SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero two weeks ago . It seemed inevitable that he would fulfill his last piece of revenge at No Mercy by toppling Big Show for ambushing him at Unforgiven.

Big Show has formed an extremely powerful association with Vickie Guerrero in recent weeks. He vowed that he would make The Deadman sorry for the disorder he has unleashed upon SmackDown’s establishment, proclaiming to the WWE Universe that he has already destroyed the myth that was Undertaker. Not only did he knock out his legendary prey at Unforgiven (, but he also declared that he broke his spirit along with his jaw.

Although Big Show’s victory over The Phenom was not without dispute, it is undeniable that he has put him down for the second time. The Deadman was beaten at No Mercy, but there is little chance that his vengeance will rest in peace.

“We were only part of one secret,” Eve said. “Basically, it involves a Bentley disappearing and a Lamborghini re-appearing with Maria and I inside it. It’s actually pretty simple, but that’s what illusions are – they’re simple things that are made to look very complicated.”

Maria – who is an admitted magic fan – said she was a little bummed she learned the secret of the illusion, but she refused to reveal the surprise.

“I’m not going to tell you the secret. You have to watch the show! It’s right after the 8 p.m. World Premiere of WrestleMania XXIV on MyNetwork TV,” Maria said.

“It was a lot of fun,” Eve said. “It’s good to get involved with different sides of entertainment, to see everything, and get involved in MyNetwork TV and the other shows on the network. It was a very fun show for us to do.”

Circle of Champions: Chris Jericho's Minneapolis Smiles

MINNEAPOLIS – As World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho prepares for his Ladder Match at No Mercy against archrival Shawn Michaels for the gold, Jericho made wishes come true for a few Circle of Champions honorees. In the VIP suite at Minneapolis’ Target Center, Jericho met with Sunshine Foundation’s Jeremy Grace, of London, Ontario, Canada, and HopeKids Foundation’s Brent Swanson, of Rockford, Minn .

“On a scale of a trillion, my WWE experience was probably a trillion and more,” said 11-year-old Jeremy. “It was really cool to meet Chris Jericho. I’d like to thank the Sunshine Foundation and all the Superstars who took the time to talk to me.”

For Brent, 16, his admiration for WWE began when he was only 1-year-old. He recalls watching, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and the Undertaker transcend the boundaries of sports-entertainment. The True Champ witnessed when Jericho became the first-ever Undisputed Champion in WWE history, so he was awestruck when he finally got the chance to meet the World Heavyweight Champion.

“A few days ago, when I found out that I was going to Raw to meet Jericho, I kept saying to my dad how I couldn’t wait,” Brent explained. “Chris Jericho was everything I thought it would be. I didn’t think I would be able to meet him. It might not ever happen again, so I’m amazed that this did happen.”

Brent and Jeremy sat patiently until the five-time World Champion strutted into the luxury suite. During his meet and greet, Jericho gave the Circle of Champions honorees various merchandise, signed autographs, and posed for pictures with Jeremy, Brent and their fathers. Jericho, one of WWE’s most charitable Superstars, was impressed with his latest meet and greet.

“It’s very important for us to see Circle of Champions honorees. Whenever a True Champ wants to meet one of our Superstars, we all make sure it happens, given how much this wish means to them. Also, it means a great deal to us knowing that they used their one wish to come see us,” the World Heavyweight Champion explained. “The fact that Jeremy traveled so far shows the global impact of WWE. Kids will come from all over the world and use their one chance to see WWE Superstars wherever and whenever they can.”

LONDON – After bidding his German fans auf wiedersehen, Randy Orton jetted to London last week to help get our British fans in the mood for this weekend’s SummerSlam and the fast-approaching WWE Survivor Series tour this November.

The Legend Killer found himself in high-demand with London’s media, from national radio stations XFM and BBC Radio One, to national print outlets and WWE’s U.K. TV partner, Sky Sports News. Men’s titles including ZOO magazine, T3.com, Stuff magazine and Boys Toys magazine all wanted to learn more about his favorite games, cars, bikes and gadgets, while others were more concerned with that big burning question – when will he return the WWE ring?
During interviews with kids’ magazines, including Toxic and Kraze Club, Orton spoke about why he believes he’ll win the Favorite Baddie Award at U.K. Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards this September. He also shared his disdain of one other contender for the award, American Idol’s nasty judge, Simon Cowell. He also visited Nickelodeon Studios and shot promotional clips for the live Kids’ Choice Awards show, which airs Sept. 13.

The highlight of Orton’s tour was undoubtedly his visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital, London’s most famous children’s hospital. More than 20 children across several different wards met the Raw Superstar during his two-hour visit. Their parents and the hospital staff couldn’t help but get caught up in the excitement Orton’s presence brought to Great Ormond Street that afternoon.

RICHMOND, Va. – Days before John Cena steps into the ring at SummerSlam against The Animal Batista for the first time ever in a one-on-one match, the three-time WWE Champion made the dreams come true for Make-A-Wish’s Tiffany Santos, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Kevin Vargas, of Ocean Township, N.J.
“I was very excited. I never saw a real celebrity. I was so surprised at how big his arms are,” Kevin, 13, said. “He’s my idol. I like his theme song. I always listen to it on my iPod.”

Tiffany, who traveled with her mother, sister, and cousin to meet her favorite Superstar, echoed Kevin’s enthusiasm on John Cena’s theme song, but admitted she liked Cena for another reason.

“He’s really hot and he has a nice body,” explained Tiffany, 10, who said that she was inspired every time she was reminded about her upcoming meet-and-greet with Cena. “I love his entrance song. I dance to it at home. Also, I think he played a really good Marine in the movie The Marine.”

The Chain Gang Commander strutted into the Circle of Champions VIP suite at Richmond Coliseum with a glowing smile on his face and his arms full of gifts. Enthusiastically, Tiffany and Kevin jumped to their feet and ran to hug their favorite Superstar.

Cena autographed photos, T-shirts, caps, John Cena: My Life DVDs, posed for pictures with Tiffany and Kevin and their families, presented his Chain Gang Soldiers with wristbands, headbands, 8-Bit T-shirts, and Hustle, Loyalty, Respect dog tags and caps. Then, Tiffany presented her favorite Superstar with a special surprise – a note that made the three-time WWE Champion blush.

After telling Cena to keep the note a secret, the True Champ recited the poem out loud for everyone to hear.

“Roses are red/Violets are blue/You are so hot/I want to marry you,” Tiffany read, as she covered her mouth to hold back her laughter.

“The poem was great. I’ve heard many marriage proposals, but that was the first genuine proposal. It was a historical first,” Cena said as he flashed his pearly whites. “Just to know that I’m a piece of motivation for [Tiffany and Kevin] and a piece in helping them get through their days is such an honor and good news to me. That’s the main purpose of the charity – to provide kids with hope. That’s why Make-A-Wish is so special.”

C.M. Punk Wins World Heavyweight Championship

C.M. Punk has just won the World Heavyweight Championship from Edge on RAW, defeating the "Rated-R Superstar" after being attacked by Batista.

The title win comes as a shock, considering the losing streak that Punk has been on over the past few months since grabbing the briefcase at WrestleMania and claiming the "Money in the Bank" monicker.

Edge held the title for less than 30 days, having only won the title on June 1st. It gives RAW a heavyweight title once more, after Triple H took the WWE Title to Smackdown following the draft.

Mark Henry (born June 12, 1971) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment performing on its ECW brand, where he is the reigning ECW Champion. He is also a 1992 Olympian and winner of the Arnold Classic Strongman competition. Since wrestling in the WWE he has become a one-time WWE European Champion and a one-time ECW Champion.

Henry was billed as the "World's Strongest Man" after he qualified for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics Weightlifting Competition, where he finished tenth in the super heavyweight class. After the WWF sponsored Henry in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he was signed to a ten-year contract, an anomaly in pro wrestling. Trained by Stu and Bret Hart, his first feud in the WWF was with Jerry Lawler who had some harsh words for Henry on a "Monday Night RAW" in March. At SummerSlam 1996, Henry came to the aid of Jake Roberts who was suffering indignity at the hands of Lawler. His first television wrestling match was at In Your House: Mind Games on September 22, 1996, where he defeated Lawler.

Henry joined the Nation of Domination on January 12, 1998, where he was allied with The Rock. After that faction disbanded, he became allied with D'Lo Brown, with whom he formed a tag team. During a match at SummerSlam 1999 between D'Lo and Jeff Jarrett for the WWF Intercontinental Championship and WWF European Championship (both held at the time by D'Lo), Henry turned on D-Lo and helped Jarrett win the match and the titles. The next night, Henry was given the European title by Jarrett. Henry lost the Title one month later to D'Lo Brown at the Unforgiven PPV.

Henry gained notoriety with the nickname "Sexual Chocolate", the name taken from a fictional funk band in the movie Coming to America. After this, Mark Henry was seen on television romancing WWF women from Chyna to Mae Young as part of the gimmick. He feuded with Viscera during this time as part of a storyline where Viscera splashed Mae Young while she was carrying Henry's child. Young would go on to give birth to a hand. Along with this, Henry was made part of various other embarrassing and infamous storylines, including performing sexual actions with a man in drag (unbeknownst to Henry at the time) the admission that he was a sex addict, and that his first sexual experience was with his sister.

In 2000, Henry was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) to improve his conditioning and skills. Later that year, he went on hiatus from wrestling to concentrate on weightlifting, and on February 23, 2002, he won a strongman competition, during the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio, claiming a $75,000 Humvee as his prize.

Henry returned to the WWF the next month and was sent to the SmackDown! brand, where his "feats of strength" gimmick met with little success, competing against such superstars as Test, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, and Brock Lesnar. After being used sporadically on WWE (formerly WWF) television during 2002, Henry was sent back to OVW for more training. During this time Henry would alter his look by growing his hair out and having it braided. Henry would also lose the babyface gimmick and become a heel wrestler; often playing the part of a monster heel, or thug for hire.

In August 2003, Henry returned to WWE television on the RAW roster, where he found some success as a member of "Thuggin' And Buggin' Enterprises," a group of African Americans led by Theodore Long who worked a race angle in which they felt they were victims of racism and were being held down by the 'white man'. During that time, Henry was involved in a brief program with World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg when former champion, Triple H, put a bounty on Goldberg. On an episode of RAW in February 2004, Henry faced Chris Benoit. At the end of the match Benoit put Henry in the Crippler Crossface which made Henry tap out. After the match Henry underwent surgery following a shoulder injury he sustained while in the Crippler Crossface. Henry was then utilized by WWE as a public relations figure during his recovery.

After yet another rehabilitation stint in OVW, Henry returned to WWE on November 28, 2005, in a dark match for RAW. His planned involvement at Taboo Tuesday was scrapped after Steve Austin walked out of a program with Jonathan Coachman.

During an episode of SmackDown! taped on December 27, Henry interfered in a WWE Tag Team Championship match, helping MNM defeat Rey Mysterio and then-World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, for the titles. As a heel, Henry had seemingly joined with MNM and would be managed by Melina. A week later on SmackDown! Henry got in the face of the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, and would go on to interfere in a steel cage match between MNM and the team of Rey Mysterio & Batista, helping MNM to retain their titles. Mark Henry then had another match with Batista at a live event where Batista received a severely torn triceps that required surgery, forcing him to vacate his title. On the January 10, 2006 edition of SmackDown!, Henry was involved in a battle royal for the vacated World Heavyweight Championship. He was finally tossed out by Kurt Angle, who won the title.

A week later, Henry then got assistance from Daivari, who turned on Angle and announced that he was the manager of Henry. Henry with Daivari at his side, would face Kurt Angle for the World title at the 2006 Royal Rumble, in which he lost when Angle hit him with a chair (without the referee seeing) and pinned Henry will a roll-up.

On the March 10 episode of SmackDown!, after putting Kurt Angle through a table with a splash from the second rope, Mark Henry was then challenged to a casket match by The Undertaker at WrestleMania 22. Henry vowed to take Undertaker's unbeaten streak at WrestleMania 22, but was unsuccessful in this quest as The Undertaker would defeat Henry at the event. Henry would get a rematch against the Undertaker on the April 7 episode of SmackDown!, however it ended in a no-contest when Daivari announced his new client who was making his debut, The Great Khali. Khali then went to the ring and started to attack the Undertaker, thus ending the feud between them.

During the rest of April and May, Henry would get two pinfall victories against the World Heavyweight Champion, Rey Mysterio in non-title matches. Henry would also enter the King of the Ring 2006, in which he was defeated by Bobby Lashley in the first round. He later cost Kurt Angle his World title opportunity against Mysterio, when he jumped off the top rope and crushed Angle through a table. Henry was then challenged by Angle to face off at Judgment Day, Henry then sent a "message" to Angle by defeating Paul Burchill. At Judgment Day, Mark Henry defeated Kurt Angle by count-out. Although winning, Angle got his revenge after the match by hitting Henry with a chair and putting him through a table.

Henry later went on what was referred to as a "path of destruction", causing injuries to numerous superstars. Henry "took out" both Chris Benoit (in revenge for injuring Henry two years previously) and Paul Burchill on this path of destruction, and attacked (but did not injure) Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero. This path of destruction led up to a feud with the returning Batista, whom Henry put out of action with a legit injury months before hand. When Batista returned he and Henry were scheduled to face one another at The Great American Bash. However, weeks before that show, on an edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, Henry was involved in a six-man tag team match with King Booker & Finlay against Batista, Rey Mysterio, & Lashley. During the match Henry was injured. Doctors later found that Henry completely tore his patella tendon off the bone and split his patella completely in two.

Henry appeared on the May 11 edition of SmackDown!, after weeks of vignettes hyping his return. He attacked The Undertaker after a World Heavyweight Championship Steel cage match with Batista, allowing Edge to take advantage of the situation and use his Money in the Bank contract. Henry then began a short feud with Kane, defeating him in a Lumberjack Match at One Night Stand. Shortly after, Henry made an open challenge to the SmackDown! Locker Room, which nobody ever accepted. In the coming weeks he faced various no-name jobbers and decimated all of them. On August 3 he showed why nobody accepted the open challenge to step into the ring with him by presenting footage of his assault on the Undertaker. The Undertaker responded over the following weeks, playing various mind games with Henry.

D-Generation X (commonly known and spelled as DX and D-X) was a professional wrestling tag team (formerly a stable) wrestling for World Wrestling Entertainment.

The group originated in the midst of the WWF's "Attitude Era" from 1997 to 2000. Their gimmick was that of a gang of rebels who acted and spoke as they pleased, no matter how provocative. DX is generally considered one of the most popular stables in pro wrestling history, not to mention, one of the most notable.

After its original run, the group underwent several roster changes, and disbanded in 1999. After a brief reunion in 2000, and a teased reunion in 2002, DX re-formed in June 2006 as the duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, until Triple H's quadricep injury at New Year's Revolution 2007. After Triple H returned from injury in 2007, he and Michaels have teamed together as DX sporadically throughout 2007 and 2008.

DX was officially incarnated on 20th September 1997 at the One Night Only pay-per-view in Birmingham, England. It was during the genesis of what would become the WWF's highly successful "Attitude Era" in the latter half of 1997. Real-life friends and reported Cliq members Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley (who began being known simply as Triple H) were the original two members, along with Helmsley's bodyguard, Chyna, and Michaels' "insurance policy", Rick Rude. Triple H and Michaels united after Michaels turned heel after hitting The Undertaker with a chair at SummerSlam 1997. Initially getting together as allies aiding Michaels in his sunsequent feud with the Undertaker as a result of Summerslam '97, DX officially got together at the One Night Only pay-per-view when Helmsley, Chyna and Rude helped Michaels win the WWF European Championship from British Bulldog.

On October 13, 1997, the group officially granted to themselves the name Degeneration X for the first time and debuted their trademark slogan, "Suck it!" They were often shown on television practicing sophomoric humor/crude humor and rebelling against authority figures in the company, two of them primarily Vince McMahon (then an on-air color commentator) and then-Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, the latter of which DX made a particular habit of humiliating with the group giving him the nickname of "Sgt. Slobber". Their trademark "crotch chops" became one of the most popular gestures in pro wrestling while their "D-Generation X" T-shirts enjoyed considerable sales, and still do today.

The name D-Generation X was possibly taken from an opinion column by Phil Mushnick which appeared in TV Guide, in which Mushnick lambasted wrestling's primarily Generation X fanbase as degenerates, dubbing them "Degeneration X." On the other hand, Michaels' autobiography would suggest that it was in fact then-WWF head writer Vince Russo who first conceived the moniker for the popular faction.

On-screen, however, the name was taken from Bret Hart who claimed that Shawn Michaels and Triple H were nothing more than degenerates. D-Generation X's first feud was against Bret Hart and his Hart Foundation. This feud was unique because it involved two rival heel factions fighting with each other. The Nation of Domination, another heel stable, briefly got involved in the feud when D-Generation X vandalized their locker room & framed it on the Hart Foundation. This feud ended at Survivor Series 1997 when Shawn Michaels won his third WWF Championship in the infamous Montreal Screwjob which led to Bret leaving the company along with two of the remaining three members of the Foundation. The only member that remained in the WWF, Owen Hart, continued to feud with DX, specifically Triple H.

"D-Generation X" was later used as the title for a WWF In Your House pay-per-view telecast on December 7, 1997. By this point, DX's capture of the World Championship & European Championship as well as their 'victory' in the feud with the Hart Foundation, solidified their status as the lead stable in the company, with this pay-per-view being representative of that fact. Michaels headlined the event as he was disqualified in a WWF Championship title defense against Ken Shamrock. Earlier that night, Triple H defeated Sgt. Slaughter with the help of Chyna in a Boot Camp match. However, on December 11 edition of RAW is WAR (aired December 22), Michaels sacrificed the WWF European Championship for his DX teammate Triple H by letting Triple H pin him for the title.

Michael Shawn Hickenbottom (born July 22, 1965), better known by his ring name Shawn Michaels, is an American professional wrestler. He performs on the Raw brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Currently, Hickenbottom is one of the senior performers in WWE, having joined in 1987. He is one of only two wrestlers (the other being The Undertaker) to have appeared on the very first episode of Monday Night Raw who are still with the company today.

Before joining WWE, Hickenbottom began his wrestling career with Mid-South Wrestling and American Wrestling Association (AWA). There, Hickenbottom partnered up with Marty Jannetty to form The Midnight Rockers and won the AWA World Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions. Hickenbottom and Jannetty then signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), while in contract with AWA. They returned to AWA, only to go back to the WWF in 1988.

After signing with WWF, Hickenbottom abandoned the tag team division to work in singles matches and received a new gimmick as "The Heartbreak Kid." He was alleged to be the leader of a backstage group known as The Clique, which was known for breaking character during the Madison Square Garden "Curtain Call" incident in 1996. The following year, Hickenbottom joined forces with Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna to form D-Generation X (DX). This stable was known for pushing the envelope. That same year, Hickenbottom took part in one of the most controversial matches in wrestling history dubbed as the "Montreal Screwjob." After a crippling back injury forced him to retire following his WWF Championship loss at WrestleMania XIV, Hickenbottom opened a wrestling academy, in which he trained upcoming wrestlers. Hickenbottom made his in-ring return at SummerSlam in 2002. In 2006, Hickenbottom and Triple H briefly reformed DX.

Overall, Hickenbottom is a four-time world champion: a three-time WWE Champion, and a one-time World Heavyweight Champion. He was also the winner of the 1995 and 1996 Royal Rumbles and was the first Grand Slam Champion.

Hickenbottom was born on July 22, 1965 in Chandler, Arizona.The last of four children - Randy, Scott and Shari. He was raised in a military family and spent a brief part of his early years in Reading, Berkshire, England, but grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He knew he wanted to become a professional wrestler at the age of twelve. Hickenbottom was already an athlete; his career began at the age of six when he started playing football.He was a stand-out Linebacker at Randolph High School and eventually became Captain of the football team. After graduating, Hickenbottom attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, but soon realized that college life was not for him.

Then he began pursuing the career of a professional wrestler.He was then trained by Mexican professional wrestler Jose Lothario.] Lothario suggested that Hickenbottom go by the ring name Shawn Michaels. After his training with Lothario, he debuted in Mid-South Wrestling in 1984 and later with Texas All-Star Wrestling (TAW) promotion. During his time with TAW, Michaels and Paul Diamond were awarded the TAW Tag Team Championship by Chavo Guerrero, Sr.

Hickenbottom also worked for Central States Wrestling.There, he and tag team partner Marty Jannetty defeated The Batten Twins for the Central States Tag Team Championship, later losing it back to the Battens.Hickenbottom also made several appearances in the Dallas, Texas-based World Class Championship Wrestling throughout 1985.

The song "Sexy Boy" was originally written for Michaels by Jimmy Hart. Hart thanked Michaels personally for continuing to use the song as his entrance music when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. Michaels' entrance music was originally performed by Sherri Martel until she became a babyface, and then the second version was performed by Michaels himself with traces of Sherri in the chorus portion of the song. The current version of the song in use today is the version Michaels sang himself.
Since the return of D-Generation X, Michaels mostly used the DX entrance "Break It Down", by The Chris Warren Band, even when wrestling in singles competition, but then went back to using "Sexy Boy".

Growing up, Hickenbottom was never called "Michael" because he hated the name, so his family and friends just called him "Shawn."Ever since, he has been referred to as Shawn. Additionally, Hickenbottom moved around frequently since his father was in the military. He relates in his autobiography how he dreaded the first day at his many new schools, when the teacher would call roll and announce his surname of "Hickenbottom" to the class, which would evoke giggles and teasing because of its unusual sound.In 1996, Hickenbottom posed in a non-nude layout for Playgirl magazine.

It was not until after he posed that he discovered that Playgirl has a mostly homosexual readership, which was seen as humorous by his fellow wrestlers.

Hickenbottom's marriage to his first wife, Theresa Lynn Wood, was brief and ended in divorce, but was amicably settled.He is now married to former WCW Nitro Girl, Whisper (Rebecca Curci). They were married on March 31, 1999 at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a very small wedding ceremony. The only people present were Hickenbottom, Rebecca Curci, and an Elvis impersonator. Hickenbottom and Curci have a son, Cameron Kade (born on January 5, 2000) and a daughter, Cheyenne Michelle (born on August 19, 2004).Hickenbottom has several tattoos.

He has a tattoo of a heart with a sword through it with a snake around it in the shape of an "S."He has one on his wedding finger, that has an R for his wife Rebecca. Another in his left wrist, it's a bracelet design that says "Cameron" for his son.On his left leg he has a picture of his wife,the other leg has a picture of the state of Texas. Finally, he has a small broken heart with the letters "HBK" above it, tattooed on his right hip.Hickenbottom is ambidextrous.This caused him problems as a boy playing football, as he had trouble differentiating between his right and left directions.

He uses his right hand to draw and color and his left hand to write. He typically uses his right leg when performing Sweet Chin Music.

Hickenbottom is a born again Christian. He was raised as a Roman Catholic, but became a non-denominational Christian under the influence of his wife Rebecca.
He also appeared on a Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) program along with Sting.

Hickenbottom is a fan of the San Antonio Spurs. He has been seen wearing Spurs merchandise and attending Spurs games. John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL) made a reference to Hickenbottom being a season ticket holder during the 2007 Royal Rumble.

He became aware of bodybuilding at the age of fourteen, and after graduating from high school in 1987, he entered several body building competitions. He was crowned Teenage Mr. New Hampshire at the age of nineteen. During this time, he met Ted Arcidi and began to consider a career in professional wrestling.

Levesque enrolled at Killer Kowalski's wrestling school in 1992 after it was recommended to him by Arcidi. He joined the Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF), which used trainees from Kowalski's school in their promotion. Here, he became the IWF Heavyweight Champion. Here, Levesque started using the name Terra Ryzing.

His commercial appearances include ads in May 2006 for Miller Lite where he debates "Man Laws" with the likes of Burt Reynolds, Eddie Griffin and Jerome Bettis. That same month, he also appeared in a commercial for USA Network with Anthony Michael Hall, which cross-promoted Raw and Hall's show, The Dead Zone. Hall's character, a psychic, touches Triple H while he lounges beside a pool and has a vision of him falling asleep in the sun, and fellow wrestler John Cena slapping Triple H's sunburned back and leaving a handprint. He has also appeared in commercials for bodybuilding supplements such as Stacker 2 and YJ Stinger. Levesque also appeared in a Wendy's commercial holding up a Triple Classic Burger calling it the "Triple H Burger".

Levesque appeared in the movie, Blade: Trinity, as a vampire enforcer named Jarko Grimwood. He is also starring in the WWE Film Journey of Death, which is due to release in 2009.

Levesque has also appeared in several WWE Home Video releases, including Triple H: The Game and Triple H: That Damn Good in 2002, D-Generation-X, a reissue of the VHS version, in 2006, and The New and Improved DX in 2007. Triple H: King of Kings, a DVD covering his career so far, was released on March 25, 2008.

Levesque was featured in the August 14, 2005 episode of MTV's Punk'd in which he was led to believe that he had ruined a wedding by hitting the bride in the face with a door and damaging her nose until Ashton Kutcher and Stacy Keibler showed up. His television appearances also include guest appearances as Triple H on MADtv and Saturday Night Live, as a professional wrestler character named "The Disciplinarian" on an episode of The Drew Carey Show and as a character on an episode of The Bernie Mac Show. Levesque also won the WWF edition of The Weakest Link, in which he and Stephanie McMahon were the final two contestants. Levesque has also been a guest announcer for the Mr. Olympia competition.

Before marrying Stephanie McMahon, Levesque was in a relationship with Joanie Laurer (who appeared as Chyna). They dated for four years from 1996 until 2000. Levesque married Stephanie McMahon on October 25, 2003. He and Stephanie welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Aurora Rose Levesque, on July 24, 2006. On February 13, 2008, WWE.com announced that Levesque and his wife Stephanie, are expecting a second child in the summer of 2008.

He has a sister named Lynn, and he is an uncle to her two children: Peter and Nayssa. Levesque is also an uncle to brother-in-law Shane McMahon's two sons: Declan and Kenyon. His in-laws are Vince and Linda McMahon.

In late 2004, Levesque released a book entitled Making the Game: Triple H's Approach to a Better Body. Mostly devoted to bodybuilding advice, the book also includes some autobiographical information, memoirs, and opinions.

In a November 14, 2006, interview with rapper The Game, it was revealed that Levesque is involved in a lawsuit with him over the rights to the name, "The Game".

Jeffrey Nero "Jeff" Hardy (born August 31, 1977) is an American professional wrestler on the SmackDown brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Before gaining prominence in WWE, Hardy performed for the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (OMEGA), a promotion he ran with his brother Matt. After being signed by WWE, the brothers worked as jobbers before gaining notoriety in the tag team division, partly due to their participation in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches. With the addition of Lita, the team became known as Team Xtreme and continued to rise in popularity. As a tag team wrestler, Hardy is a former six-time World Tag Team Champion and one-time WCW Tag Team Champion.

Apart from his success as a tag team wrestler, Hardy has also had success as a singles wrestler. He is a four time Intercontinental Champion, as well as having held the Hardcore, European and Light Heavyweight Championships. He received his first major main event push towards the end of 2007, including challenging for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble in 2008.

Moreover, Hardy is involved in motocross, music, and other artistic endeavors. He is currently a member of the unsigned band Peroxwhy?gen.

Hardy cites Sting, The Ultimate Warrior, and Shawn Michaels as his childhood inspirations to wrestle. Hardy had been on World Wrestling Federation (WWF) television as a jobber as early as age sixteen. His first WWF match, against The 1-2-3 Kid, was on May 25, 1994 in Erie, Pennsylvania and aired on the June 25 edition of Superstars. He occasionally wrestled as a jobber as late as 1997 before beginning his first major run in 1998. Hardy, along with his brother Matt Hardy and friends, started their own federation, the TWF (Trampoline Wrestling Federation) and mimicked the moves they saw on television. Later on, the federation went under several different names, eventually being integrated into a county fair in North Carolina. The brothers and their friends then began to work for other independent companies. They drove all over the East Coast of the United States, working for companies such as ACW and other small promotions.

On March 15, 2008, it was reported that Hardy's house had burned to the ground in a fire. Hardy and his girlfriend were not home at the time, but his dog was killed in the fire. It is believed that the fire was started by faulty electrical wiring.

Hardy has an eclectic set of interests outside of wrestling. He calls his artistic side "The Imag-I-Nation". At one stage, Hardy constructed a 30-foot (9.1 m) statue of an "aluminummy" named "Neroameee" out of tinfoil outside of his recording studio (a spray painted trailer). On another occasion, he created an artificial volcano in his front yard, which he then jumped over on his motocross dirtbike. In 2003, Hardy formed a band, Peroxwhy?gen, with members of the band Burnside 6, and Moore, who later left. The band recorded two songs. One was "September Day", a song Jeff wrote in reaction to the September 11, 2001 attacks. Rumors arose that Peroxwhy?gen split up in 2004 shortly after recording the second song, "Modest", which Hardy later used as his entrance music in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. However, on the official Peroxwhy?gen MySpace, on April 26, 2006, the following message was posted in the blog: "Yes we are still together and writing songs. No we are not broken up. JR from the band runs this site." Currently, Peroxwhy?gen only has two members, Hardy and JR Merrill.

Hardy appeared on the February 7, 1999 episode of That '70s Show entitled "That Wrestling Show", along with Matt, as an uncredited wrestler. He also appeared in the February 25, 2002 episode of Fear Factor competing against five other World Wrestling Federation wrestlers. He was eliminated in the first round.

In 2003, Matt and Jeff, with the help of Michael Krugman, wrote and published their autobiography The Hardy Boyz: Exist 2 Inspire. As part of WWE, Hardy has appeared in several of their DVDs, including The Hardy Boyz: Leap of Faith (2001) and WWE The Ladder Match (2007). He is also featured in the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling release Enigma: The Best of Jeff Hardy (2005) and Pro Wrestling's Ultimate Insiders: Hardy Boys - From the Backyard to the Big Time (2005). Scott Rechsteiner (born July 29, 1962) better known by his ring name Scott Steiner, is an American professional wrestler. Steiner is perhaps best known for his appearances with World Championship Wrestling alongside his older brother Rick as the Steiner Brothers and as a member of the New World Order faction. He is also known for his appearances with Jim Crockett Promotions, Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling All-Stars and the World Wrestling Entertainment. He is currently wrestling for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Steiner attended the University of Michigan on a wrestling scholarship, earning a degree in education. Steiner was an All-American at the University of Michigan, and placed second in the Big Ten Conference in his sophomore, junior, and senior years. In his senior year, Steiner placed sixth in the 190 lb (86 kg) weight class of the 1986 National Collegiate Athletic Association championships.

After graduating, Steiner turned professional, training under The Sheik and debuting in the Indianapolis, Indiana-based World Wrestling Association in 1986 as Scott Rexsteiner which was a variation of the spelling of his real last name. On August 14, 1986 in Dearborn, Michigan, Steiner defeated "The Great Wojo" Greg Wojciechowski for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. He held the title until May 3, 1987, when he lost to Wojciechowski in Toledo, Ohio. Steiner then formed a tag team with Jerry Graham, Jr. and the partners defeated Chris Carter and Mohammad Saad with their manager, The Dark Angel, for the WWA Tag Team Championship on October 6, 1987. Their reign ended in Toledo on December 6, 1987 when they lost to Carter and Don Kent.

In 1988, Steiner joined the Memphis, Tennessee-based Continental Wrestling Association and wrestled under his real name. He formed a tag team with Billy Joe Travis, and the duo defeated the Cuban Choir Boys for the CWA Tag Team Championship on May 29, 1988. Their reign ended on June 6, 1988 when they lost to Gary Young and Don Bass. Steiner and Travis regained the titles on June 27, 1988, but lost to the Rock 'n' Roll RPMs (Mike Davis and Tommy Lane) on August 15, 1988. Steiner formed a new tag team with Jed Grundy, and on February 18, 1989 they defeated CWA Tag Team Champions Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden. Steiner's third and final reign ended on February 25, 1989 when Fuller and Golden regained the titles, and he left the CWA soon after. Steiner went on to form a tag team with his brother Rick known as the Steiner Brothers.

While wrestling Apolo at a TNA house show in San Juan, Puerto Rico on June 3, 2007, Steiner sustained a stiff kick to the throat. After he began coughing up blood, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a torn trachea and given five hours to live. Steiner was put into an induced coma for two days, during which time doctors cut through his ribs and lung and repaired the tear, then began draining fluid from his lungs, a process that lasted two weeks. Unable to fly (because the change in air pressure would have caused his lung to collapse) Steiner eventually left Puerto Rico on a cruise ship and arrived back in the United States one week later.

Steiner appeared in the television program Charmed on February 1, 2001, playing "Mega Man" in the episode "Wrestling With Demons".

Steiner's weight gain in the late 1990s led to accusations of anabolic steroid abuse, which he denied. Steiner claims that, upon returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in late 2002 he was asked to undergo a steroid test. According to Steiner, the request was dropped after Steiner insisted that the muscular Triple H, then the World Heavyweight Champion, also undergo a test.[14]

On April 21, 1998 in Cherokee County, Georgia, Steiner threatened Georgia Department of Transportation employee Paul Kaspereen after Kaspereen informed him that an exit ramp leading off Interstate 575 was closed. He then twice hit Kaspereen with his Ford F-250 pickup truck (Kaspereen was not badly hurt). Steiner was subsequently arrested, and on March 17, 1999 he pled guilty to aggravated assault and making "terroristic threats" (felonies carrying a maximum sentence of 30 years imprisonment). Under Georgian first-offender rules, which stipulates that a first-time offender will be found not guilty if they do not violate the terms of their probation, Judge C. Michael Roach sentenced Steiner to 10 days in the Cherokee County jail. He also placed Steiner on a seven year probation order, ordered him to pay $25,000 USD in fines, restitution, and legal fees and ordered him to perform 200 hours of community service.

Towards the end of his tenure in World Championship Wrestling, Steiner embarked upon a rivalry with wrestler Diamond Dallas Page after insulting Page's wife Kimberly during an interview. Kimberly Page had fallen afoul of Steiner after claiming that drug paraphernalia found backstage belonged to Tammy Lynn Sytch, an accusation that, despite Sytch's vehement denial, led to her being released from the promotion soon after. The acrimony between Steiner and Page eventually descended into violence, with the two men engaging in a locker room fight before being separated by other wrestlers.

On the February 7, 2000 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, Steiner angered WCW officials when he directed disparaging remarks towards World Championship Wrestling and Ric Flair during an interview. In the course of the interview, Steiner claimed that when Ric Flair appeared on WCW programming, "the people at home, all they did was grab their remote, and change their channel to the WWF, and watch Stone Cold - a person you and your own friends got fired from here, 'cause you're a jealous old bastard." Steiner went on to call Flair an "ass-kissing, butt-sucking bastard" and finished the tirade with the words "WCW sucks!". He was suspended for two weeks with pay for the incident.

In January 2001, Steiner was arrested after inadvertently assaulting Randall Mankins, an emergency medical technician employed by the Kernersville, North Carolina fire department. As part of an episode of WCW Monday Nitro, an EMT was sent to the ring to tend to Michael Modest and Christopher Daniels, who were selling leg injuries ostensibly inflicted by Steiner. As the EMT entered the ring, Steiner struck him twice. Steiner was arrested for assault the following morning as he tried to board a plane.

In 2001, Steiner fought backstage with WCW road agent Terry Taylor.

In December 2005, Steiner, along with Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell, were removed from a flight from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Winnipeg, Manitoba following a disturbance onboard the plane. The three men were detained for several hours before Steiner and Bagwell were released and permitted to continue on their journey (Luger, however, was held without bail and later charged and jailed). Steiner would later invoke the incident in his in-ring interviews, describing himself as a violent criminal with little regard for the forces of law and order.

In 2006, Steiner claimed (perhaps spuriously) to have slept with over 20,000 women and to have broken Wilt Chamberlain's record.

Randal "Randy" Keith Orton (born on April 1, 1980) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestling on its Raw brand, though is currently inactive due to a legitimate broken collarbone. Orton is a third-generation professional wrestler; his grandfather Bob Orton, Sr., father "Cowboy" Bob Orton, as well as his uncle Barry O, all competed in the professional wrestling industry.

Before being promoted to the main WWE roster, Orton trained in and wrestled for Mid-Missouri Wrestling Association-Southern Illinois Conference Wrestling for a month. He was then sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). There, Orton became OVW Hardcore Champion on two separate occasions.

After signing with WWE, Orton became a member of the stable Evolution, which quickly led to him capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship, his first title with the company. Orton also acquired the moniker "Legend Killer" during a storyline where he began disrespecting Hall of Famers and physically attacking veterans of professional wrestling outside of appropriate restrictions. In 2004, Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, when he won the title at the age of twenty-four. His title win resulted in his departure from Evolution and feud with his former stablemates. In 2006, Orton joined forces with Edge in a tag team known as Rated-RKO. As a team, Orton and Edge held the World Tag Team Championship. After the team disbanded, Orton, during the fall of 2007, won the WWE Championship twice in one night.

Orton was born on April 1, 1980 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Son to Elaine and "Cowboy" Bob Orton, he is the eldest of two siblings—Becky and Nathan. Knowing from experience the hardships of life as a professional wrestler, Orton's parents tried to convince him to stay away from wrestling, and his father warned him that life in the ring meant a life on the road, away from family. Orton attended Hazelwood Central High School, where he was an amateur wrestler. After graduating from Hazelwood in 1998, Orton enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. There, he was dishonorably discharged a year later, after going AWOL on two separate occasions and disobeying an order from a commanding officer. Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Private First Class Orton was tried and convicted under a special court-martial and was put into a military prison for thirty-eight days.

While on the Raw brand, Orton was accused of harassing fellow WWE employees Amy Weber and Rochelle Loewen, which led to the departure of Weber from the company. Loewen, who has called Orton "an animal", claimed that he vandalized her possessions and subjected her to harassment. Fellow WWE Diva Search contestant (and eventual winner) Christy Hemme has stated in an interview with The Sun that she does not believe that Orton harassed Weber or Loewen.

On March 19, 2007, Sports Illustrated posted an article on its website as part of its continuing series investigating a steroid and HGH ring used by a number of professional athletes in several sports. That article mentioned several current and former WWE wrestlers, including Orton who was alleged to have obtained clomiphene citrate, anastrozole and the steroids stanozolol, nandrolone, oxandrolone, and testosterone. WWE has since made a statement on this situation, claiming that the allegations preceded the Talent Wellness program WWE launched in February 2006.

In November 2005, Orton announced his engagement to his girlfriend Samantha Speno. They married on September 21, 2007. In December 2007, Orton announced that he and his wife were expecting their first child, a daughter due on July 15, 2008.

He had a tattoo on his left arm which read "USMC" for United States Marine Corps but covered it up after receiving a bad conduct discharge from the service. He was sent home after serving thirty-eight days in military prison at Camp Pendleton in California.

Dalip Singh Rana (born August 27, 1972) better known by his ring name The Great Khali, is an Indian professional wrestler, actor and former powerlifter who won Mr. India in 1995 and 1996. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestling on its SmackDown brand. Before embarking on his professional wrestling career, he was an officer in the Punjab state police; he was also a labourer.

Singh is a one-time World Heavyweight Champion, and has appeared in the films The Longest Yard (2005) and Get Smart (2008).

Under the ring name Giant Singh, Dalip Singh first became a professional wrestler for All Pro Wrestling (APW) in the United States of America, making his first appearance in October 2000, when teaming with Tony Jones against the West Side Playaz.

In August 2001, Singh was brought into New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) by Team 2000 leader, Masahiro Chono, as Giant Singh, along with another big man, Giant Silva. They were the tallest tag team in pro-wrestling history at an average height of 7 ft 2 1/2 in, and a combined weight of 805 lb. The two teamed up for the first time at the Tokyo Dome in October, labeled "Club 7" by Chono, and they defeated Yutaka Yoshie, Kenzo Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Wataru Inoue in a Handicap Match when Silva pinned Tanahashi and Inoue at the same time. Singh suffered his first loss in a tag match at the Tokyo Dome in January 2002, being cradled by Hiroyoshi Tenzan. He suffered another big tag defeat during March, being pinned by Manabu Nakanishi, and falling to a German suplex hold. His most critical loss came in August at Tokyo Nippon Budokan when, after a falling out, he was pinned by Silva in a singles match.

On January 2, 2006, Singh became the first Indian professional wrestler to be signed to a contract by WWE; he was assigned to the Deep South Wrestling developmental territory for training. With Daivari by his side, the un-named Singh debuted on WWE television on the April 7, 2006 episode of SmackDown!, attacking The Undertaker and leaving him out cold during his match with Mark Henry, and thus causing a no-contest.

The next week he was introduced as The Great Khali. Daivari explained that he now finally had a client that would destroy The Undertaker (after Muhammed Hassan and Mark Henry had failed previously). Khali made his in-ring debut on the April 21, 2006 edition of SmackDown!, defeating Funaki.

On the May 12, 2006 edition of SmackDown, JBL put Khali against World Champion Rey Mysterio. Khali had a height advantage of two feet and a weight advantage of 250 pounds, and gained an easy victory over Mysterio. In his match against The Undertaker at Judgment Day 2006, Khali landed a series of blows to his opponent, and finally defeated The Undertaker with a kick to the head after receiving some illegal help from Daivari during the phase when The Undertaker had him under control. Khali continued on a rampage for several weeks, winning handicapped matches, beating superstars up in a display of power, and mocking The Undertaker's signature pin and victory pose.

Khali then challenged The Undertaker to a Punjabi Prison Match. The two were scheduled to meet in such a match at The Great American Bash, but Khali was removed from the match due to elevated liver enzymes and replaced by The Big Show.

Khali later received a clean bill of health, and the August 4, 2006 episode of SmackDown would see Khali being challenged by The Undertaker to a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam. However, the match was moved to the SmackDown! just prior to SummerSlam and was won by The Undertaker, giving Khali his first definite loss in WWE.

By October of that year, news came that Khali would return to WWE, along with Daivari, to join its revived ECW brand. Khali then feuded with Tommy Dreamer, where Khali would assault Dreamer and chokebomb him on a regular basis. Sometimes it would be on the steel entrance stage, a steel chair, or the padded floor outside the ring.

On the January 8, 2007, episode of RAW, Jonathan Coachman announced that Khali's contract with ECW had expired, he had signed with RAW (without his manager Daivari), and would battle John Cena in the main event. Khali won by disqualification after Cena took a steel chair held by Armando Estrada and hit Khali with it. After the match, Khali chokebombed Cena to the mat and left the ringside area, leaving Cena prone to an attack by Umaga.

On the February 19, 2007 edition of Raw, Khali demanded better competition after easily defeating The Highlanders. Four days later on SmackDown!, Khali sought for better competition, interfering in a Falls Count Anywhere, Money In The Bank qualifying match between Kane and King Booker. Khali cost Kane the match,leading to a match at WrestleMania. In his first appearance at the event, Khali defeated Kane at WrestleMania 23 after slamming him with a choke drop. Right after the match, Khali choked Kane with his own hook and chain.

On the April 30, 2007 edition of RAW, The Great Khali attacked Shawn Michaels, Edge, and Randy Orton (all three top contenders to the WWE Championship at the time) backstage. He then attacked WWE Champion John Cena as well, sending a message that he wanted Cena's title. The next week on RAW, Khali defeated Michaels in a No. 1 contender's match for the WWE Championship at Judgment Day. At the event, Khali's efforts came up short as he lost via submission for the first time ever, tapping out to John Cena's STFU. However, at Judgment Day, Khali's foot was under the rope when he tapped out, which went unnoticed by the referee. The next night on RAW, Khali expressed his outrage via his translator over the outcome. At One Night Stand, Khali lost to John Cena after he was FU'd off a crane bed. This would be the first time that The Great Khali had ever been pinned.

On the June 11 edition of RAW, as part of the WWE Draft, Khali was drafted from Raw to SmackDown! as SmackDown's first draft pick. He would soon enter a feud with Batista in July before The Great American Bash. The two were scheduled for a match on PPV on Sunday, July 22, 2007. However, because Edge vacated the World Heavyweight Championship due to an injury, Khali won a 20-man Battle Royal for the title on the July 20 (taped on July 17) edition of SmackDown!, eliminating both Kane and Batista in one move. Khali dominated and defeated both Batista and Kane that same week at The Great American Bash. Khali then debuted a new finisher called the "Khali Vice Grip" which he used to wear down Ric Flair, Batista and Kane. At SummerSlam he lost to Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship but was disqualified for the use of a chair, thereby retaining the title.

Khali then began a feud with Rey Mysterio after Mysterio won a "Championship Competition" making Mysterio the No. 1 contender. On the September 7 edition of Smackdown!, after Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero in an I Quit match, Khali applied his Vice Grip on Mysterio until Batista came to the rescue. After the assault, General Manager Theodore Long informed Khali that he would be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against both Rey Mysterio and Batista in a Triple Threat Match at Unforgiven, in which Khali lost to Batista after receiving a Spinebuster. Khali would then lose his rematch at No Mercy when he failed to escape the Punjabi Prison before Batista.

In late 2007 and early 2008, Khali was put in a program with Finlay usually trying to assault Hornswoggle but with Finlay stopping him. Khali participated in the 2008 Royal Rumble but was eliminated in about a minute by The Undertaker. Khali participated in the Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out. He was again eliminated by The Undertaker, who used his new submission finisher, the gogoplata. On the May 2nd edition of SmackDown, Khali was choked out by The Undertaker's gogoplata, thus injuring him in kayfabe. Khali returned on the June 6th edition of SmackDown, defeating both Deuce and Domino in a two-on-one handicap match.

On May 28, 2001, Brian Ong died after receiving a flapjack from Singh. Ong had suffered a previous concussion during the session, but the trainers gave him a lower evaluation for not avoiding injuries and told him to continue training. In addition, it was proven that Ong did not receive any protective gear or supervision by APW staff. This second concussion ultimately proved fatal for him. As Singh inadvertently caused his death, Ong's family brought a lawsuit against All Pro Wrestling. They were found liable for recklessness after less than a day of deliberations, awarding the Ong family for damages of over $1.3 million.

"The Great Khali" was born to Jwala Ram (father) and Tandi Devi (mother);[45] he is one of seven siblings[45] – Inder Singh[46] and Mangat Singh Rana.[6] Singh married Harminder Kaur on February 27, 2002 and says he is a vegetarian, abhoring tobacco and alcohol.

Singh suggested the ringname "The Great Khali" after the Hindu goddess Kali, who is said to be a destructive ruler.

Adam Joseph Copeland (born October 30, 1973 in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada) better known by his ring name Edge, is a Canadian professional wrestler presently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment, wrestling on the SmackDown brand and is the current World Heavyweight Champion.

Copeland initially rose through the ranks as one half of the tag team Edge and Christian, alongside his real-life best friend and storyline brother Christian. He is noted for being one of the most decorated tag team champions in wrestling history, winning a record 12 tag team titles in WWE.

Copeland is a five-time world champion, having won the WWE Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship three times. In addition, he won the 2001 King of the Ring and the 2005 Money in the Bank ladder match.

Aside from professional wrestling, Copeland has appeared in Highlander: Endgame and made guest appearances in television shows, including The Weakest Link, Deal or No Deal, MADtv, and Mind of Mencia.

Copeland used to play hockey with current Detroit Red Wings Aaron Downey. He is a New Jersey Devils fan.

As a teenager, Copeland attended WrestleMania VI sitting in the eleventh row at ringside. He was cheering on WWF Champion Hulk Hogan against The Ultimate Warrior, and he credits this match with making him realize he wanted to be a wrestler. Twelve years later Copeland returned to SkyDome as a competitor at WrestleMania X8, and won the World Tag Team Championship with Hogan as his partner that same year.

During his high school years, Copeland was voted "Most Likely to Win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship".

Copeland has been married two times. He was originally married to Alanah Morley in November 2001, the sister of Val Venis, but they divorced after three years. He was then married to Lisa Ortiz in 2004, but they soon divorced. He was then in a relationship with Amy Dumas for two years before they split up in the summer of 2006.

His autobiography, titled 'Adam Copeland On Edge', was published on November 4, 2004. Unlike most wrestlers who used 'ghost writers' to write their autobiographies, Copeland wrote the entire book himself. Mick Foley wrote the foreword to his book.

Copeland does not smoke. He claims he had his first cigarette when he was sixteen, hated it, and hasn't smoked since.

Copeland has several tattoos. He has a tattoo of a red and black sun on his left upper biceps (which covers a tattoo of a muscular shark which resembled the Street Sharks), a star on his right upper biceps with several smaller stars below it, two skulls wearing bandanas, adorned with flowers and hearts, below said star tattoo, along with a tattoo of a cross on his left forearm. All of Copeland's tattoos represent a stage in his career: his sun, which Copeland got while recovering from his neck injury, represents "looking towards brighter days." Oscar Gutierrez (born December 11, 1974) better known by his ring name Rey Mysterio, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestling on its Raw brand. He comes from a lucha libre family and has achieved success in heavyweight, cruiserweight and tag team divisions throughout his career. He is best known for his tenure with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1996 to 2001 as well as a short-lived tenure with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1995.

Mysterio is known for having a high flying style, which helped kick-start the cruiserweight revolution in the United States, in the late 1990s during his time in WCW. His total Cruiserweight Championship reigns are record-setting 8 (5 in WCW, 3 in WWE). In WWE, he was a 1 time World Heavyweight Champion, a 3 time Cruiserweight Champion and a 4 time Tag Team Champion as well as the winner of 2006 Royal Rumble. In WCW, he was a 5 time Cruiserweight Champion, a 3 time World Tag Team Champion and a 1 time Cruiserweight Tag Team Champion with Billy Kidman as part of Filthy Animals.

Gutierrez and his wife, Angelica, have two children, Dominik (who was involved in the Eddie Guerrero and Gutierrez storyline) and Aalyah . Mysterio has tattoos of his two children's names on his right and left biceps. He also has tattoos dedicated to his wife and Eddie Guerrero.

On March 19, 2007, Sports Illustrated posted on its website an article in its continuing series investigating a steroid and HGH ring used by a number of professional athletes in several sports. That article mentioned several current and former WWE wrestlers, including Gutierrez who was alleged to have obtained nandrolone and stanozolol. WWE has since made a statement on this situation, mentioning that the allegations preceded the Talent Wellness program WWE launched in February 2006.

In an episode of the television show Heroes entitled "The Kindness of Strangers," the character Monica sees Mysterio give Randy Orton the 619 on a televised match. Later in the show, she uses her power to recreate any physical activity she sees to perform a modified 619, similar to Mysterio giving the 619 around a ringpost, to stop a robbery.

He was the Mexican flag carrier at Manny Pacquiao Vs. Erik Morales III. He was shown on camera early in the pay per view when Morales was entering the arena, during the singing of the Mexican national anthem, and when Morales was entering the ring for the main event.

David Michael Bautista, Jr. (born January 18, 1969), better known as Dave Batista or by the ring name Batista, is an American professional wrestler. Batista is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), wrestling on its Raw brand.

Batista is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion and the winner of the 2005 Royal Rumble match.

Bautista is of Filipino and Greek heritage. His year of birth was disputed for several years. His website originally listed him as being born in 1969, while several contradictory news reports claimed that he was actually born in 1966. In March 2006, Batista stated in an interview that he was born in 1969. He confirms the same in his autobiography "Batista Unleashed".

Batista's father, David Michael Bautista, is Filipino and his mother, Donna Raye Bautista, a lesbian, is Greek. His grandparents were also from the Philippines as his grandfather served in the military, worked as a taxi driver, barber, and other odd jobs to feed the family. Batista says he is not ashamed to admit he came from a poor family. He has publicly admitted to having a hard life where, as before he was age nine, three murders occurred at his front lawn. As young as age 13, he was stealing automobiles. By age 17, Batista was considered estranged from his parents and on his own, despite admitting later that "I am proud of my parents. They are good, honest, hard-working folks. They taught me the values of working hard." Batista became a regular bouncer for clubs until he was arrested after a fight that left two badly injured patrons, one of which could be found lying in the street. After a trial, Batista was sentenced to a years' probation. Batista was also a lifeguard before he had dreams of becoming a bodybuilder. He credits bodybuilding as possibly saving his life.

Batista was married to a woman named Glenda in the early 1990s and had two daughters with her, Keilani (born in 1990) and Athena (born in 1992) before divorcing.[96][97] Batista married his second wife Angie on October 13, 1998, however they divorced in 2006. Before the age of 40, Batista had already become a grandfather of two grandsons: Jacob & Aiden by Keilani, his first daughter. During his marriage with Angie, Batista became an avid collector of vintage metal lunchboxes. He admits his favorite is the 1967 Green Hornet lunch box, as it has Bruce Lee on it. This collection started when he bought Angie an ET lunchbox and she did not want to break it, so he bought a second one. Batista revealed that he and Angie were separated in the August 2006 edition of WWE Magazine. He later revealed, in his autobiography, a relationship with WWE Diva Melina after the divorce from his wife in 2006, which led to a brief angle on SmackDown! during a feud with MNM. Shortly after, he dated 2006 Diva Search contestant Rebecca DiPietro before resuming a relationship with Melina.

On October 16, 2007 his autobiography "Batista Unleashed", a WWE Book, was released. In an interview about the book, Batista claims "I didn't want to tell my story unless it was honest," and that "you have to go through three sets of lawyers: Simon & Schuster lawyers, WWE lawyers, my lawyers. Everything now being the way it is, you can be sued for the simplest thing." One source of controversy was the mentioning of Chris Benoit, who was almost completely removed due to controversy. Batista responded saying "I loved the guy. I despise what he did, but that doesn't erase him from my life. I fought to keep him in there and glad they did." When asked about his ex-wife, Angie, he says "[we] have really become close again, which we really haven't been in years. I really learned a lot about her, and she learned a lot about me from reading the book. She actually saw things from a different perspective from reading the book. So that was definitely therapeutic."

He has numerous tattoos, including a large Chinese dragon on his back, red Kanji lettering on his upper left biceps which says "Angel" in tribute to his former wife Angie, a signature design on his upper right biceps, and a small Sun on his stomach which encircles his belly button. He recently added a tattoo on his arm of the flags of the Philippines and Greece merged into one.

In addition to wrestling, Bautista has been in several commercials and on several magazine covers. He was shown breakdancing in a commercial promoting WWE SummerSlam 2004 where he did his take on a "floor routine", a routine that arguably mocked the floor routines shown at the Olympic Games. Paul Wight, Jr. (born February 9, 1972) is an American professional wrestler, and actor currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its SmackDown brand, under the ring name, (The) Big Show. He is also known for his appearances with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as The Giant. Wight is the only person in professional wrestling history to win the WWF/E, WCW and ECW Championships, and is a 5-time World Champion.

Like André the Giant, Wight has acromegaly or "gigantism", although he underwent successful surgery in the early 1990s on his pituitary gland which halted the progress of this condition. By the age of twelve, Wight was 6 ft 2 in (188 cm) tall, weighed 220 lb (100 kg), and had chest hair. In 1991, as a member of the Wichita State University basketball team at age nineteen, Wight was listed at 7 ft 1 in (215 cm). His shoe size is 22 5 E, his ring size is 22.5, and his chest is 64 in (163 cm) in circumference. In 2005, Wight leased a bus and hired a bus driver because of the practical problems his size presents to air travel and car rental.

Wight played basketball and football in high school at Wyman King Academy in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. He was a standout center for the basketball team and a tight end for the football team. While at Wichita State University, Wight played basketball, and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Wight also attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 1992-93 and was a member of NCAA Division II Cougars basketball team. During his one year at SIUE, he scored a total of thirty-nine points for the Cougars in limited action.

In December 1998, Wight was arrested and detained for allegedly exposing himself to a hotel clerk in Memphis, Tennessee. He was later released due to a lack of evidence.

Wight has been married twice. He married his first wife, Melissa Ann Piavis, on February 14, 1997 and divorced in 2000. Together they have a daughter named Cierra. He married his second wife, Bess Katramados, on February 11, 2002.

In March 1999, Wight was charged with assault by Robert Sawyer, who alleged that Wight had broken his jaw during the summer of 1998 in the course of an altercation in a Marriott hotel in Uniondale, New York. Wight claimed that Sawyer had verbally abused, threatened and shoved him, and that he had responded by punching Sawyer. After three days, Judge Thomas Feinman gave a verdict of not guilty.He has been featured in commercials for Stacker 2 with NASCAR drivers Kenny Wallace and Scott Wimmer, crew chief Jeff Hammond, and 2002 and 2005 Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart.

Mark William Calaway (born March 24, 1965) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name The Undertaker. He is signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Calaway began his wrestling career with World Class Championship Wrestling in 1984. He joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1989. When WCW did not renew Calaway's contract at the end of 1990, in November of that year he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which became WWE in 2002. Having remained with that company ever since, Calaway is currently one of the senior performers in WWE. He is one of only two wrestlers, the other being Shawn Michaels, to have appeared on the very first episode of Raw who are still with the company today.

He is undefeated at WrestleMania with a 16-0 record and is a six-time world champion (four-time WWE Champion and two-time World Heavyweight Champion). He was also the winner of the 2007 Royal Rumble.

Mark Calaway is the son of Frank and Catherine Calaway, and is one of five brothers with David, Michael, Paul and Timothy. He graduated from Waltrip High School in 1983, where he was a member of the basketball team. Calaway first married Jodi Lynn in 1989, and they had a son Gunner, born in 1993, before the marriage ended in 1999. Calaway met his second wife, Sara, at a WWF autograph signing in San Diego, California. He eventually married her in a ceremony in St. Petersburg, Florida on July 21, 2000. Mark and Sara have two daughters together: Chasey, born in 2002, and Gracie, born in 2005.

As a wedding gift to Sara, Calaway had his wife's name tattooed onto his throat and has said this is the most painful tattoo he has ever had. In 2007, this tattoo started being removed from all WWE photos showing Undertaker's throat, most notably on the cover of the November issue of WWE Magazine and in pictures throughout. Undertaker has several other tattoos: a gravedigger, which he refers to as "Original Deadman", skulls, a castle, and a wizard. When talking about his body art, he has said that there is kind of a medieval thing going-on on his arms. He also has a dancing skeleton on the back of his neck. He also has a tattoo on his stomach that says BSK Pride, which means Brotherhood of Solitary Knights.

Aside from wrestling, Calaway has many hobbies and interests. He collects Harley-Davidson and West Coast Choppers motorcycles and purchased his first brand new motorcycle after defeating Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship at the 1991 Survivor Series. Calaway has also had a custom motorcycle built for him by Jesse James, the founder of West Coast Choppers. He is a massive fan of Nick Cave and all his musical endeavors (The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds). He also enjoys listening to bands like ZZ Top, AC/DC, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Iron Maiden and Black Label Society. Calaway also enjoys country music and blues music.[citation needed]

As an avid boxing fan, Calaway was also the person who carried the Flag of the United States while leading Team Pacquiao to the ring during the Pacquiao vs. Velázquez fight in 2005. This was also confirmed by fellow wrestler Batista in a televised interview for the Philippine news program TV Patrol World. Calaway is also an avid Mixed Martial Arts fan and has attended several Ultimate Fighting Championship shows.

As The Undertaker had been absent from the WWE due to his 2007 arm injury, Calaway began getting into real estate with his partner Scott Everhart. Calaway and Everhart finished construction on a $2.7m building in Loveland, Colorado. The building, filled with upscale office space, is named the "The Calahart", a portmanteau of their last names. Calaway has said that being a TV star certainly helps him in the real estate business, and he was quoted saying "by no means does it seal the deal, but people do want to sit down and talk with you. It helps us get to meet a lot of people and know what we’re trying to get accomplished."

Calaway has also established The Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals fund at the Texas A&M's Veterinary Teaching Hospital to help pay for lifesaving treatments for large-breed dogs. The fund was established as a memorial to his beloved Mastiff Zeus, who died in 2004.

Calaway appeared as a guest star in the 1991 film Suburban Commando. He also appeared on episodes of Poltergeist: The Legacy and Celebrity Deathmatch in 1999. His character had also influenced the Bollywood film Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi in which Brian Lee (who played the false Undertaker in 1994) starred as the Undertaker.

A number of spin-offs have covered The Undertaker's character. Chaos! Comics released an Undertaker comic. In 2005, Pocket Books released a novel, Journey into Darkness, which dealt largely with Kane but also featured Undertaker as his brother, although they are not related in real life.

Jacobs began his professional wrestling career in 1992. He was first known as Angus King when he debuted in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Jacobs later moved south and began wrestling as The Christmas Creature and Doomsday, appearing in the United States Wrestling Association and as Unabomb in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, where he held the SMW Tag Team Championship with Al Snow in a team called The Dynamic Duo. He also competed in the Japanese shoot wrestling promotion Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi under his own name.

Jacobs (along with WWE Diva, Ashley Massaro) appeared in an episode of Smallville entitled "Combat", where he plays a Phantom Zone criminal from another world named Titan, who faces off against Clark Kent.

In his WWE career, Cena has been a three time WWE Champion a three time United States Champion, and a one time World Tag Team Champion with Shawn Michaels. He also won the 2008 Royal Rumble. Before being promoted to the main WWE roster, Cena trained in and wrestled for Ultimate Pro Wrestling and Ohio Valley Wrestling, holding the top titles of both promotions.

Outside of wrestling, Cena has released the rap album You Can't See Me, which debuted at on the US Billboard 200 chart, and starred in the movie The Marine. He has also made appearances on television shows including Manhunt, Deal or No Deal, MADtv, and Punk'd. Most recently, Cena was a contestant on Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race, where he made it to the final round before being eliminated, placing third in the overall competition.

Cena was born April 23, 1977 in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Cena has 5 brothers and he was the 2'nd edlest. WWE Films, a division of World Wrestling Entertainment which produces and finances motion pictures, produced Cena's first movie — The Marine, which was distributed theatrically by 20th Century Fox America beginning on October 13, 2006. In its first week, the film made approximately $7 million at the United States box office. After ten weeks in theaters, the film grossed $18.7 million. Once the film was released on DVD, it fared better, making $30 million in rentals in the first twelve weeks.

His second film, also produced by WWE Films, is scheduled to be 12 Rounds, filming for began on February 25, 2008 in New Orleans.

In 2001, between his training in Ultimate Pro Wrestling and Ohio Valley Wrestling, Cena was involved in the UPN produced reality show Manhunt. Cena portrayed Big Tim Kingman, leader of the group of bounty hunters who chased down the contestants who acted as fugitives. The show, however, was mired in controversy when it was alleged that the portions of the show were rigged to eliminate certain players, scenes were re-shot or staged to enhance drama and contestants read from scripts.

He was also featured on the ABC reality series Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race, which aired in June 2007. He made it to the final round before being eliminated on June 24, placing third in the competition overall.

In 2007 Cena was also interviewed for the CNN Special Investigations Unit documentary, "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling", which focused on steroid and drug use in professional wrestling. When asked if he had taken steroids he was heard to reply, "I can't tell you that I haven't, but you'll never prove that I have." The day after the documentary aired WWE accused CNN of taking Cena's comments out of context to present a biased point of view, backing up their claim by posting an unedited video of his answering the same question—filmed by WWE cameras from another angle—in which he is heard beginning the same statement with "Absolutely not." A text interview on the website with Cena later had him saying the news outlet should apologize for misrepresenting him, which CNN refused in a statement, saying they felt the true answer to the question began with the phrase "My answer to that question". They did, however, edit the documentary on subsequent airings to include the "Absolutely not".

Cena is a hip hop musician in addition to his wrestling career. He performed his fifth WWE theme song, "Basic Thugonomics," himself, and it was featured on the WWE soundtrack album WWE Originals. He also recorded a song,"Untouchables", for the companies next soundtrack album WWE ThemeAddict: The Music, Vol. 6. He collaborated on the song H-U-S-T-L-E remix along with MURS, E-40, and Chingo Bling.

His debut album, You Can't See Me, was recorded with his cousin Tha Trademarc. It features, amongst other songs, his entrance theme "The Time is Now" and the single "Bad, Bad Man," for which a music video was made that parodied 1980s culture, including the television show The A-Team. A video was also made for the second single, "Right Now," and premiered on the August 8 Raw. Cena and Tha Trademarc were later featured on a track by The Perceptionists named "Champion Scratch." Promotion for the album lead to Cena being the only professional wrestler to ever perform on BBC Two's long running Top of the Pops.
